Almost every festival is celebrated here in an auspicious manner.Bangur Nagar is known for organising mythological events like akhand ramayan, bhagwad geeta path,etc. The presence of so many temples always lights up bangur nagar during all festivals.

Akhand ramayan

A Akhand Ramayan path is organised by Bangur Nagar Ramayan Mandal Ch. Trust every year. It starts one day before dussehra and takes around 26 hours for completion. This path is followed by felicitation of students for academic excellence and lunch.
Dussehra Mela
A Dussehra Mela is organised by Bangur Nagar Ramayan Mandal Ch. Trust every year. It takes place on the ground on the dussehra evening. A play of dussehra is enjoyed alongwith games, chats and yummy snacks

Bhagwad gita Path

A Bhagawad Gita Path is organised atleast once every year in Bangur Nagar by some of the social group. It generally takes place on one of the grounds in the winter months( Nov, Dec, Jan).

Durga pooja

Durga Pooja is one of the most exciting festival celebrated in Bangur Nagar Kallol Temple. We can say Bangur Nagar glitters during this time. The beautiful idol decoration at the temple alongwith the navratra garba celebrations in various socities like Jal Mangal Deep, Vasant Galaxy,etc to name a few makes Bangur Nagar truely exciting and colorful..

Krishna janmotsav / dahi handi

Krishna Janmotsav program is organised on the previous night of dahi handi by Bangur Nagar Ramayan Mandal Ch. Trust. This function involves chanting krishna bhajans followed by krishna janam. The next day witnesses the dahi handi in various societies of bangur nagar annd two sarvajanik dahi handis; one near heeramani shopping centre and one near bangur sadan.
Prabhat pheri
Prabhat Feri is a every morning procession which starts at 6am that involves chanting bhajans and taking a complete round of bangur nagar. An excellent way to start your day with the name of God.
Sunderkand

Bangur Nagar Ramayan Mandal Ch. Trust conducts a Sunderkand Path every Saturday night in Bangur Nagar. This path is done at the residences of Bangur Nagar. The Mandal keeps moving from one house to another and indeed from one society to another. The path starts at 9:30pm and ends around 12.
